One of the best days ever!!!

I am looking out the window at the snow. So much snow! I was just looking back at my photos from this past summer. I miss the sun and the warmth and the days like this one. Now this was a day of fun, gardening and creativity!!! These are my two good friends Megan and Sophia! I created their garden and built their outdoor room this past summer. We are all very happy with the way it turned out. Sophia grew some killer eggplants! The squirrels loved them!

Brunch in Parkdale is a wonderful thing...

This seems to be the mantra of the house... Welcome to the house of history makers!

We spent the afternoon brunching with no one other than the fabulous real estate mogul Gilda Greer (not her real name) and her equally fabulous roomie Roxanne (also not her real name). The names have been changed to protect the innocent???
Do you all remeber this mural from your doctor/dentist office.
It brings back warm 1970's fuzzy feelings! Ah, I can almost feel my parent's green shag carpet. Roxanne found a place to order this forest mural on line. I can think of nothing better than waking up in Roxanne's magic forest!

Karen... not home, too bad (not her real name). Found this little beauty! I swear this is no joke! it is straight off the shelf at a grocery store. Make sure to read the instructions. All those directions for a cleaning cloth! Nice translation!!!

Thanks for a really wonderful day!

My New Favorite Artist

As you know from my blog, I have been a bit obsessed with graffiti art in Kensington. This is one of my favorite artists. If you consider the amount of time it takes to do one of these works, the artists work with amazing speed and accuracy before they are seen.

The good in every place.

I just finished a three week stint working at one of my stores. Now being a downtowner, and needing to go this far out of the city just seems... unnecessary for a lot of reasons... However, there is beauty to be found even in a place called Orfus Road! You might have to look just a little harder, but it is there. Even the five block walk through the several blizzards we have had in the recent past! Produced some beautiful photos. Enjoy!

Wilson Subway looking back at Downtown Toronto

Thanks Angela for a great evening. This is the print we edited together!

I took this photo because I have been tracking this artist's work. My next posting will show more of the characters mostly from the Kensington area.... This was on the wall going down into the Spadina subway station. I took the photo from inside the streetcar as we came out from the underground station.

Some of my paintings...

These are a few of my paintings. The gold ones are hanging in a show here in Kensington Market at Beauty Spa on St Andrews Street. Stop in and see them and talk with Elizabeth the owner! Get a spa treatment and look at good art at the same time!
